At this time, I do not accept insurance. A few reasons why I choose not to accept insurance are insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis for reimbursement, even if a client is seeking support for personal growth or life transitions and insurance companies often dictate the type, length, and frequency of therapy sessions. Without insurance, therapists can provide care that best fits their clients' needs rather than adhering to insurance-mandated guidelines. Additionally, when using insurance, therapy records can be reviewed by the insurance company, potentially affecting future coverage for life insurance or other medical policies. Private pay keeps therapy more confidential.
